Troubleshooting Guide

1 Common App Issues

I can't log in to my school's account.

For Students: Ensure you are entering the correct school code provided by your school. If you've forgotten it, please ask a teacher or administrator. Remember, student accounts do not require a PIN.

For Staff: Double-check both your school code and your staff PIN. PINs are case-sensitive. If you've forgotten your PIN, please contact your school's BullyAlert administrator for assistance.

My incident report isn't showing up.

After submitting a report, it may take a few moments to appear in your dashboard, especially if your internet connection is slow. Try refreshing the app or checking back in a few minutes. If it still doesn't appear, ensure you have a stable internet connection and try resubmitting.

I'm not receiving push notifications.

Check your device's notification settings for the BullyAlert app. Ensure that notifications are enabled and that the app has permission to send them. Also, verify that your device is connected to the internet.

The app is crashing or freezing.

Try force-closing the app and reopening it. If the issue persists, restart your device. Ensure your app is updated to the latest version from the App Store or Google Play Store. If crashes continue, please report the bug via our contact page.

2 Technical & Connectivity

I'm having trouble connecting to the internet.

BullyAlert requires an active internet connection to submit reports and receive updates. Check your Wi-Fi or cellular data connection. Try opening a web browser to confirm you can access other websites.

The app is slow or unresponsive.

Performance issues can sometimes be resolved by clearing the app's cache (if available in your device settings) or by ensuring you have enough free storage space on your device. A device restart can also help.

3 Account & Data

Can I delete my account or data?

As BullyAlert operates anonymously for students, there are no traditional accounts linked to personal identity. For students, uninstalling and reinstalling the app will generate a new anonymous device ID. For schools, data deletion requests can be made by the school administrator to our support team.
