A child’s concern deserves care. The way we collect and share information should respect that child, too.
No student name required by default
Routine Student reporting does not ask for a name, school email, student ID or roster account. BullyAlert still processes school and grade scope, session and security data, and report content. Free text or evidence may identify a person.
A name is a choice for one report
A student can voluntarily share a name for an individual report when they want authorized school staff to know who submitted it. That choice does not identify their broader activity.
A name supplied through the optional name-sharing field is handled in authorized incident details, not general feeds or notification messages. Free-text reports and evidence may themselves contain identifying information.
Access follows the school role
Staff access is based on server-authorized role and school scope. A report is not a public post, a public feed or a cross-school directory.
Parent and caregiver sessions use a separate lane. Families can revisit their own submissions without gaining access to other families’ reports or a child’s separate reporting history.
Shared devices deserve care
Sign out when you finish on a shared device. Account and session changes should not leave another person’s protected content available to the next user.
What this choice means: BullyAlert minimizes what routine reporting asks a student to provide. It is not a promise of invisibility across every device or network. School-managed devices, networks, browser records and legal processes exist outside the reporting workflow and may be governed by school policy.
Human care remains essential
BullyAlert helps people communicate and organize follow-through. School teams remain responsible for safeguarding, interpretation and disciplinary decisions.
